- $750 per talk (1- night stay)
- $1000 per talk (2-night stay)
- $500 per additional talk (2-night stay)
- AIR TRAVEL will be economy fare and will be most convenient for the schedule
- Non-stop flights will be booked when available
- Flights will not return to San Diego or Ontario later than 11 PM (Pacific time)
- Cost of getting to and from airport or long-term parking charges (maximum $100)
- Vehicle rental cost incurred in transportation during visit
- CAR TRAVEL is subject to reimbursement at the designated federal rate per mile & any toll fees
- Taxi or Shuttle fees will include actual cost and gratuity
- Business hotel will include actual cost and must offer complimentary internet hookup and cable television

- For Powerpoint presentations, a table to place the laptop computer, a screen at least 6' x 6' for a small room or 10' x 10' for a large room, a darkened room, a projector and an extension cord to hook up the computer
- A table for the speaker if there is to be a plant demonstration or flower-arranging talk
- A moveable microphone or lapel microphone
- Transportation to and from the talk (unless speaker is arriving by car)

Biographical Notes
JOHN BAGNASCO
He had a 10-year part-time affiliation with Creative Promotions before joining them full-time in Oct. 2000 as senior editor and radio personality for Garden Compass. John has also taught horticulture classes at Palomar College and San Diego State University. He is also responsible for the marketing promotion to bring many products into the California market. Several of these include, ‘Pink Lemonade' lemon, ‘Hotbiscus' varieties of grafted hibiscus, ‘Armstrong's Gold' gazania, Whitney Farms Palm and Hibiscus Food, ‘John-John' and ‘September Mourn' roses, along with many other products. Known for his love of plants, especially roses, he recently wrote and hosted the Garden Compass Essential Guide to Roses dvd.
SHARON ASAKAWA
Sharon graduated from San Diego State University with a double degree in American Foreign Policy and Political Science. After marrying Bruce Asakawa, she began working at his family's Presidio Nursery in 1963, eventually managing both florist departments at Presidio and Bonita Garden Centers. With over 42 years of experience in the gardening industry, she regularly appeared with Bruce on Over the Hedge's television program and became co-host on the Garden Compass radio program along with Bruce and John Bagnasco in 2000. Sharon was the editor of Garden Compass Magazine and Garden Compass Planting Guide, publications that were sold and distributed in California and the Pacific Northwest.. Nine years ago, Bruce and Sharon published their first book,
Bruce and Sharon Asakawa's California Gardener's Guide, now in its 7th printing, then co-wrote with Teri Dunn the
SW edition of Jackson & Perkins Beautiful Roses Made Easy and the
SW edition of Jackson & Perkins Outstanding Perennials and with their son Eric Asakawa, their fourth book
California Gardening Rhythms. Bruce and Sharon's latest book,
California Gardener's Resource: All You Need to Know to Plan, Plant, & Maintain a California Garden has just been released in 2010.
