Wood's Rooting Compound provides a safe, effective and inexpensive way for the professional and home grower to take advantage of rooting stimulants for plant propagation. This formula consists of approximately 10,000 parts per million of indole -3butyric acid, (IBA) and 5,000 parts per million of Napthalene acetic acid (NAA). Wood's utilizes a special ion-exchange formula that makes absorbtion into tissue instantaneous. Works on softwood, medium hardwood and hardwood cuttings. This compound is a soluble concentrate. Because alcohol is used as the solvent for the active ingredients, Wood's Rooting Compound is self sanitizing, so cross contanimation problems are eliminated.

There are several advantages of using concentrated liquid dips over the leading powders. One of the foremost is to let the propagator easily select the exact concentration for each type of cutting. In current reasearch the liquid concentrate was as good or better than the powder at promoting root growth.

The shelf life , if stored in its original container at room tempature, is up to two years. Limiting exposure to intense heat and Cold will help prolong the shelf life. Wood's Rooting Compound has a tendency to darken over time without losing it's effectiveness. Once diluted in water it should be used right away. To avoid contamination of the product never return the mixture to the concentrate, and never stick cuttings in the original container.

Wood's Rooting Compound has not only gone through many rooting effectiveness tests, but has also gone through many other environmental tests to provide as safe a product as possible.
