Aloe harlana, native to Ethiopia, forms rosettes to 10" in diameter with light milky green leaves banded transversely with deeper green in reptilian patterns. Tubular flowers on spikes vary from yellow to reddish. Flowers frequently visited by hummingbirds. Porous soil with adequate drainage. Bright, filtered light for best color. Prefers ample airflow. Water thoroughly when soil is dry to the touch. Protect from frost.
