In the garden, this Japanese bunching onion is a perennial that produces silvery-white 12”-14”, slim, tender stalks that grow and divide from the base. Heshiko is very hardy and will overwinter in many areas with some mulching. It produces tasty greens in many parts of the country with mild climates.
